Highlights from ALA Midwinter In Chicago

Fantastic time speaking on panels and signing advance copies of ZEROBOXER at ALA Midwinter in Chicago. Losing my voice and being snowed in by a blizzard the next day made it that much more memorable. Left to right: the Dark Fantasy and Science Fiction panel with Auden Johnson, Ken Liu, and Sabaa Tahir; signing advance reader copies at the Flux booth; the We Need Diverse Books panel with Danielle Paige, Sona Charaipotra, IW Gregorio, Miranda Paul, Adam Silvera, Nicola Yoon, Francesca Zappia.

ZEROBOXER Named A Junior Library Guild Selection

ZEROBOXER was named a 2015 selection by the Junior Library Guild. This is awesome because the JLG picks only a few titles each season to recommend and promote to libraries around the country. Needless to say, I’m very happy and honored.

I’m particularly stoked by the way the JLG describes the book. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Genetically modified superhumans. High-stakes zero-gravity fighting championships. Earth/Mars political strife. Carr Luka, seventeen, trapped in the middle.
